We’re looking for a talented Functional Safety leader  to join our Quality team.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate functional safety activities for ISO26262 compliance.
  • Create Functional Safety awareness across the company departments.
  • Being the Functional Safety specialist in the company.
  • Gathers functional safety goals from customers and be the point of contact for both sides.
  • Work closely with the System and SOC Architect's and engineering managers to ensure products design are meeting ISO26262 standards.
  • Mentor, direct, and collaborate with project managers and development teams (hardware, software and system engineering), to ensure functional safety requirements are implemented to the required standard.
  • Perform safety management activities during all project phases, including hazard analysis and risk assessment, DFMEA, FMEDA, qualitative and quantitative fault tree analysis.
  • Participate in the design process and provide professional feedback to achieve safety goals.
  • Sign-off the design release for each step during the development process.
  • Plan and coordinate functional safety audits and 3rd party assessments.

Requirements

  • BSc/MSc in electrical/mechanical/software engineering/ software QA, or related fields.
  • Thorough knowledge and experience in at least one field (electronics, embedded SW or system control strategy) and a good awareness of the others.
  • Experience with system engineering approaches (requirements engineering / management, functional analysis and allocation, architecture design, validation, and verification).
  • Familiar with quality process, FMEA/FTA methods/tools.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas concisely and persuasively to peers, management, and customers.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional team members without direct authority.
  • Good technical skills, planning and control skills and approaches challenges with a "can do" attitude.
  • Comfortable in presenting and ability to adapt to audience.
  • Excellent English both, verbal and written.

Preferred Qualifications

  • System development or technical project management experience, preferably within the automotive industry, with Tier1/Tier2 supplier role.
  • Experience with change & configuration management.
  • Familiar with ISO26262 processes.
